After reading a Facebook status by Broadway actress, Kristy Cates, about her ride home after a performance, songwriter Chris Giordano was inspired to write this jazzy musical theatre song based on actual events. Showcasing Kristy Cates' powerful vocals, "Kristy's Lament" describes the events of a single ride on a subway train.
Our Character, "Kristy," complains about a late train on the subway platform. But once she enters the train, she encounters many walks of life. Letting this subway ride make her doubt her life choices in New York City.
